News of the Make Mine Chocolate! Campaign crosses the Solent

The Make Mine Chocolate! campaign has crossed the Solent to the Isle of Wight, the following article has been spotted in the 25.3.10 edition of the wwww.wightbay.com
Rabbits are not good Easter presents – a rabbit costs as much as a dog to keep correctly and may live well into it’s teens. Please look at the Make Mine Chocolate campaign before even thinking of buying a rabbit as an Easter gift. The MMC campaign is run by the Rabbit Welfare Association in conjunction with The Hay Experts – both well known and respected in rabbit circles!
There are currenty over 33,000 rabbits in rescue across the UK. This WILL rise after Easter when the people who have bought them as presents realise what a commitment they are and give them up for rehoming… or worse.
Buying a rabbit as an Easter present is just as unacceptable as buying a puppy for Christmas. Do an animal a favour this year and stick to chocolate bunnies!
